The good news is that two of the downstream nations, India (a sparsely populated nation-state) and Pakistan (ditto) both have nuclear weapons and a history of war or near-war stretching back to 1947.

So we can rest assured they'll share the dwindling water supply to prevent mass starvation. Plus, India is now run by a very forward-looking, deeply intelligent man, Modi, and a deeply humanist party, the BJP. And god knows Pakistan has no history of idiotic behavior, either.

I'm sure it'll all work out fine. Please note that the projections here are based on forty years' worth of satellite data, and are keyed to keeping the warming at 1.5 degrees Celsius, which is the best-case scenario at this point.
